This was a recipe I had wanted to try. It's pretty simple.
Software:
- whole chicken cut into pieces and seasoned
- one medium onion diced
- 8 oz can tomato sauce
- 14 oz can diced tomato
- bay leaf
Program
1. Brown chicken on both sides in some veg or olive oil on medium high heat. You may have to do in batches
2. Take chicken out and remove skin when slightly cooler
3. Turn heat to medium and sauté onion til soft
4. Add in both tomato products
5. Cook for a couple mins and scrape any brown bits that formed on the bottom
6. Return chicken and bay leaf
7. Cover and simmer for 45 or so minutes
8. If desired pull chicken off bone and return to pot
9. If desired towards the end of the 45 mins add some diced potato and simmer for 20 mins or until cooked through
