My mom suggested this could also be served over pasta.

- pound or so green beans trimmed and sliced to your liking
- one 24 oz can crushes tomatoes
- a few cloves garlic sliced minced or crushed
- (optional) a half red onion sliced
1. If using onions, start by sweating them in oil or butter
2. Once soft add garlic and cook for a minute until fragrant
3. Add the tomatoes and green beans, season with salt pepper and any herbs you like. I also include some crushed red pepper. You could use fresh chilies or leave out altogether.
4. Bring to boil and then cover and turn down to simmer
5. Cook for 20 mins or so
6. This can be made ahead and heated up in the microwave
