Notes: was a little thin on flavor. If I had used the ham bone it would have helped. Something to improve the mouth feel is needed. I also thickened with some flower since I wasn't including the starch
Ingredients:
- 2.5 quarts water
- 2 cups leftover ham, cubed
- 2 medium ribs celery, chopped
- 2 medium carrots, chopped
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 2 cans white beans, drained
Program
1. In large pot sauté onions until soft
2. Add in carrots and celery and sauté
3. Add in garlic and sauté
4. Season and add any other spices if desired
Note: at this point I thickened by making a roux
5. Add in ham and sauté
6. Add in water and bring to simmer
7. Simmer for 30-45 mins
8. Taste and adjust seasonings with salt and pepper
